Red Velvet Bread Pudding Recipe!!! Christmas Time!

22 Dec

Just when I thought life couldn’t get any better, a recipe for Red Velvet– Bread Pudding stumbled onto my lap! Alright, alright! Don’t twist my arm I was watching Paula Deen’s Holiday Special on Sunday afternoon and she featured it on her show. But all I can say is thank god I was watching!

For those of you who don’t know me red velvet cake to me is like biting into a little slice of heaven (if I can imagine what heaven is like). So, RED VELVET BREAD PUDDING can only be like having a bigger slice of heaven! Just thinking about the creaminess of the icing and the moisture of the cake, makes my mouth water! This recipe is a must do!

On that note,

Al, “change of plan. Our contribution for Titi Glennis’s Christmas dinner will no longer be an entrée. We are on to desert and maybe an appetizer. Two if we’re lucky (no mishaps in the kitchen).” Stay tuned! I will blog all about our Red –Velvet- Bread –Pudding- Kitchen -Escapades!

Here’s the recipe….Can’t wait! Not so easy..but so worth it!

8. In a small bowl, combine baking soda and vinegar- add to mixture
9. Pour batter into a prepared sheet pan (grease 9 by 13 by 2 inch sheet pan)

11. Cool completely.
12. Once cooled, cut cake into 1 inch cubes.
13. Place cubes onto an 11-17 inch cookie sheet and put in oven for 10 minutes.

2. With an electric mixer (in a large bowl) beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth
3. Mix into the half and half mixture

Whipped Cream:
1. In a medium bowl, beat cream until thickened
